About TripFlair
TripFlair ("we," "us") is a trip-planning service at tripflair.net that helps you plan trips and turn them into printable brochures. When we say "your data," we mean any information connected to you or your account. Questions any time: hello@tripflair.net.
The data you give us, and why
- Account information. Your email address and name, used to sign you in (via secure magic links) and to send you service emails like receipts and trip reminders.
- Trip content. Destinations, dates, itineraries, packing lists, traveler names and ages you choose to add, memories, and photos. This is the heart of the product — we store it so you can edit, share, and print it.
- Collaboration data. If you invite family or friends to a trip, we store who joined and their role, so shared trips work.
- Payment status. Your subscription tier and billing status. Card numbers and payment details go directly to our payment provider and never touch our servers.
- Technical basics. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, errors) that keep the service running and secure. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell your data. Ever.
How AI uses your trip details
When you use features like the Launch Pad interview, Concierge, or Trip Intel, the trip details you provide (destinations, dates, traveler ages, preferences) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate your itinerary and insights. This happens through our own secure server functions — your data is used to produce your results and is handled under Anthropic's API data-use commitments. We never feed your trips into public AI training sets.
Our service providers
We keep the list short and purposeful. Each provider receives only what its job requires:
| Provider | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, accounts, photo storage | Account info, trip content |
| Netlify | Hosting and server functions | Technical logs, requests in transit |
| Lemon Squeezy | Payments (merchant of record) | Payment details, billing email |
| Anthropic | AI itinerary and insight generation | Trip details you submit to AI features |
| Mapbox | Maps and routes | Destination coordinates |
| Resend | Transactional email | Your email address, email content |
| OpenWeatherMap | Weather forecasts | Destination coordinates |
What lives in your browser
TripFlair uses browser storage for essentials only: keeping you signed in and remembering your work in progress. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Children's information
TripFlair accounts are for adults (18+). Parents may add children's first names, ages, and photos to their own trips — that information belongs to the parent's account, is used only to personalize the trip and brochure, and is deleted along with the account. We never knowingly collect information directly from children.
How long we keep things
We keep your data for as long as you keep your account, so your trips are always there when you come back to them. When you delete your account, we remove your trips, memories, photos, and personal data from our systems, and any active subscription is cancelled. Some minimal records (like invoices) may be retained by our payment provider where the law requires it.
Use Delete account in your settings, or email hello@tripflair.net and we'll handle it for you. Gone means gone.
Control that travels with you
Wherever you live — and specifically under laws like the EU's GDPR and California's CCPA — you can:
- Access & export. Ask for a copy of your data, or export your trips and brochures directly from the app.
- Correct. Fix anything that's wrong, right in the app.
- Delete. Erase your account and everything in it.
- Object or restrict. Ask us to limit how we process your data.
- No sale, no sharing. We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of — but the right is yours regardless.
To exercise any of these, email hello@tripflair.net. We'll respond within 30 days.
International transfers
TripFlair operates from the United States and our providers store data primarily in the US. If you use TripFlair from elsewhere, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US under our providers' standard data-protection safeguards.
When this policy changes
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email you before they take effect. Small clarifications may be posted without notice.
